Scoliosis and Deformity
Scoliosis is an abnormal twisting of the spine to the side. Kyphosis occurs when the spine curves too much to the front, and kyphoscoliosis is a combination of both conditions. Spine deformities are not only a cosmetic problem.
They may cause ongoing back pain, problems with balance and nerve symptoms. Nerve symptoms could include weakness of the arms and legs, or bowel and bladder problems.
At Macquarie Neurosurgery & Spine, our team includes neurosurgeons who specialise in surgery for adult with spinal deformities.
